A few weeks before heading to the studio to record, Frank thought a short, urgent, upbeat song was needed to tie the record together, Rob delivered the riffs for Ghosts, Brent added a part, everyone helped arrange it and the song was basically done in less than two hours. The song filled the void to make Altered States flow the way we wanted from start to finish. At the time this record was being manufactured we had never played 'Ghosts' live. Frank wrote the lyrics.
